Experience Celebrate Nyepi Day in Bali

My experience celebrate Nyepi day in Bali, after I touchdown at Ngurah Rai International Airport and after proceed for check out from immigration, I waiting for my tour guide to pick up we all over to the hotel, on the way to the hotel, suddenly! our tour guide told us to move out from the island of Bali, to the island of java because cannot stay in Bali tonight and also for tomorrow, so I and my friends are very shocked'? And after asking that's we need him to give the explanation to us, actually what happened, and why we can't stay in Bali island? Base on our itinerary we must check in here, but not go to the Java Island? Shocked and we still not understand why? Till our tour guide give a explanation to us what and why? He told us, we cannot stay here for tomorrow because the population of Bali will celebrate one of the festivities owing much to the culture and Traditions of the Balinese Hindus will celebrate all festival called Nyepi, or the final day of the saka year. It falls on the day after the new moon on the ninth month. Nyepi is a celebrated holiday and the Balinese on New Year called Bali New Year. It is a day of total silence throughout the island. Nyepi really is a celebration observed with total silence!
On Nyepi day, there is totally no activity - no traffic at all on the roads, no flight landing at the Airport, airport will be closed for one day  on that day to respect for the festive of Nyepi, no amusement is held the whole day long. No fires also may be lit in observance of the Nyepi and great purification and sacrificial rites are held on the day prior to Nyepi in order to exorcise evil spirits from every corner of Bali. After that we all understand what happened and why we can’t stay at Bali Island on the day we are arrive.
To all who wish to visit the island of Bali for a holiday should ask your tour guide BEFORE, you do the booking for the flight tickets, for fear you mistakenly buy tickets on the day of Nyepi festival.
